Morgan Karma Morgan Karma
Karma is a 15h Liver Chestnut Morgan mare. The only thing small about her is her size and even that's getting bigger as she fills out with proper work. She is kind of a rescue and was given to me when I had to put my 4yr old gelding down. Initially, I was only planning to do dressage with her. However, I was warned by friends, who have Morgan's, to keep her training varied as they are a smart breed and like to do many things. Keeping this in mind, I tried Cross Country with her and she LOVES it. She can jump really well and is very brave. We also trail ride, have ridden in the reenactment of the Pony Express ride, do stadium jumping, dressage, are going to be in a parade, and am hoping to try sorting cows soon. I've ridden quite a few horses in my life but never have I enjoyed one horse so much. Karma will try anything and will usually excel at it. She has truly been an amazing gift in my life. She's making me a better rider and pushing me far outside of my comfort zone. She is an amazing partner.

Morgan Joe Morgan Joe
Joe's the only all black to be thrown by his dad, who is still at stud locally to me. He was kept as a stallion till he was nine ish nd then cut, so you can imagine still feisty. He fell in a ditch when a foal at the farm where he was rescued by the local services who hoisted him out. He was broken to saddle twice. The first time i'm lead to believe was a total disaster, Joe has a mind of his own and wasn't so willing to co-operate. Eventully he found some one to gel with and there was no stopping him, until he was to be sold. After a few different attempts to find the right home, luckily the family who bred him, always took him back.He never found someone who understood him. Naughty is an understatement , he eventually threw every one off and was returned back to his field in disgrace. At some point the owners thought about breaking him to harness, just an idea they thought but it never would of worked. Two years later, now aged 11 years old and supposedly unrideable i took him on. i originally wanted to keep him on the south downs but because he wouldn't do gates i was told i couldn't have him. Another yard inland that had 90 acres to fiddle about on meant i was on my way to pick him up. And now hez perfect for me even though he still has issue, no more bucking, not much racing off at a creeping leaf, and still afraid of his hair brush but other than that hez allowed to be a horse and an individual at all times. As long as i can contain him whilst out riding, he reads my thoughts and knows when where off for a trot or canter with the subtlest movements. He recently drowned in a bog, very nearly for a second time, completely submerged and only his head visible, probably been there for hourss and hours as he was totally exhausted but with such a strong character he recovered within days.
